For some people the Brown Trout is about having to do nothing at all... but for those of you looking for some activity there is plenty of choice surrounding us. Along with golf, fishing, holding small conferences and team building we can organise micro light lessons, parachute jumping, go-karting, water skiing all within 10 minutes of the Trout. At the coast surfing and deep sea diving and sea fishing is available during the summer months. The selection of walks are endless. We have are own all weather walk around our golf course which can be also used as a jogging track. Further a field there are forest walks at rings end and Pine trees and of course many coastal walks. The evenings are about the food and the chat- and on Saturday nights live music always gets feet tapping and even the most reluctant eventually get up to dance and sing! Reviews from TripAdvisor "Stayed for one night only, pity it wasn't longer. Rooms are like a little chalet, plenty of space. Staff all very friendly, food in restaurant very good and reasonably priced. Handy place to stay to tour around the north west area of Northern Ireland. Would stay here again." "This hotel is situated a few miles from Coleraine, and is fantastic! The rooms are spacious, the the bar has a lovely atmosphere but most of all the people and the food are fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and it felt like a real home from home. Breakfast is cooked to order, but the highlight of the weekend was the fabulous pavlova! I was just over 7 months pregnant when we visited and have craved it ever since. What a wonderful place to stay, we would definitely go back!" "I have stayed in the Brown Trout 3 times myself, with family and friends, and my husband many more times, If you are looking for a homely, caring, quiet, spotless, good food, excellent staffing, retreat then this is the place, I have never been a fan of timeshare but if they ever offer their cottages and the 2 interconnecting rooms for timeshare I will be at the top of the que." "Yet again an other good time at the inn. Food from breakfast, dinner and late nite sandwiches first class food and good service from the moment you arrive. Jane, Gerry and Lynn and all the staff make you feel more than welcome even though Gerry is not so good in his choice in the football team he supports but yet again another nice stay over Easter... Will be back again soon so a big thankyou again to all the staff at the Brown Trout." |
